In 1907, when Main Street, Bristol was made of cobble-stone, Judge William J. Malone practiced
law across the street from the new Bristol Library located on the corner of Main and High Streets. Thomas J.Donnell of Bristol
soon joined Judge Malone and formed the law firm of Malone & Donnell. So began the firm that evolved into the firm presently
known as Furey, Donovan, Tracy & Daly, P.C.
In 1972, Thomas J.Donnell was appointed a Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court.
In 1987, Maxwell Heiman was also appointed a Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court.
and later became an Appellate Court Judge. Over the years we have grown to be the largest
law firm in Bristol. Other retired members include Theodore M. Donovan, William Eddy,
Louis Kocsis and F. Patrick;Sullivan who had distinguished careers. Our current members are;
William J. Tracy from Harwinton; Michael C. Daly from Farmington; Timothy W. Furey from Bristol; Patrick J. Cooney from West Hartford and Michael F. Auger from East Hartford.
In February of 2005, Furey Donovan opened a satellite office in West Hartford, Connecticut.
